Whenever you have to start a new thing or journey, the first thing that blocks your way is self-doubt or fear. It is the inner voice that disturbs the whole mind. Self-doubts are like poison; they kill the creativity of your mind. It blocks the way to think more clearly and wisely. Everyone in their life faced it; it’s a normal human experience. Only a few overcome it, and most people live in their doubts. They still don’t know how to overcome it and live how their hearts want to live.

Everyone experiences self-doubt differently. The intensity of self-doubts varies depending on individual circumstances and personalities. It can be insecurity, fear, frustration, uncertainty, lack of motivation, and self-criticism. Self-doubts are doubts; they are not a reality but can trap you badly. It’s like a hallucination, but you can overcome them.

My Journey to Overcome Self-Doubts

I, myself, faced it a few years ago. This self-doubt starts from a failure. I remember all of those feelings and times when I was utterly hopeless. I was filling my mind with negative thoughts every new day. I was living in a box where I set my limits. This box was dark, and there was no light in it. And the worst thing was that there was no hope of light.

I was waiting for the miracle and not taking any action. My life was stopped, and every day felt like a month. I felt like that happened because I deserved it and was not good enough to do everything I wanted. But the reality was the opposite. While living a life full of doubts, you often forget how much potential you have in you and how much worthy you are.

Journey to overcome the self-doubts.

This darkness was not because I deserved it but because I was not figuring it out. It’s because I could not see the light inside me. It’s because my self-doubts were so high that they blocked all the lights that were already on my way. It’s not always the external things that affect us the most but our thoughts and our perspective about ourselves. We become harsh and unfair to ourselves and break all those little buds before they bloom into flowers.

Now, if I look back, I can see I was not fully connected with my feelings and thoughts. That box was too limited. Those limits were my doubts. I created that darkness. The light was around me everywhere, but I was unable to see. How can I see that when I have a band of doubts on my eyes? Maybe you are also going through this phase or will face it one day. Maybe you face it differently in your personal life, relationships, or career. But I want to make you aware of all of these things. I will explain how I overcame those doubts in a few steps below.

What is Self-doubt?

Self-doubt is something that always holds you back. It’s your inner voice that continuously makes you feel less in your own eyes. Doubt on an emotional level is indecision between belief and disbelief. These doubts are nothing but illusions. These doubts are fear and can be anxiety. It is a lack of confidence.

Your true self is behind those doubts. The reason for those doubts is just one: you don’t know who you are. It’s not who you are that holds you back; it’s who you think you are not.

Self-doubts are the lost dream. You want to do something, but doubts are pushing you back.

Doubts kill more dreams than failures. You are afraid that all of those doubts can turn into a reality. But in the present, there is nothing. You can do it. It’s your thoughts that make you afraid of the future.

You are thinking more about what should be than what is happening now and how you can achieve anything. You need to find out how able you are to do everything you want to do in your life. Whenever self-doubts arise, think about how far you come instead of blaming yourself and bitting yourself up.

What is self-doubts and how it affects you mentally.

Doubts and whatever you feel are blocking your great version; all of those voices that tell you that you can’t do it are nothing but an illusion; you can overcome these.

Don’t believe anyone other but you. Be aware of all things and figure out what you can do to overcome this. Don’t wait for the miracle; take your responsibility and help yourself. Here is how you can overcome self-doubts by following these steps.

Connect With Your Feelings

You feel doubting yourself at least once a time throughout your life. Have you ever wondered why you feel worthless? It can be because you are comparing yourself with others or doubting your true self.  Self-doubts can be in your personal life, relationship, and career. But the main thing is that you should be able to understand what you feel.

Sit and feel what your heart is saying and navigate what your mind is telling you. Find which path can give you peace. I can’t tell you that you must follow your heart or mind. Discover what is your path.

connect with your feelings to overcome your self-doubt.

Do what you want to do. Do what you desire the most. Here, I am not telling you to be too lost to do whatever bad you desire. But the things that can upgrade you, your personality. You have to overcome those thoughts and feelings that are killing you from the inside, which are not letting you believe in yourself, which are making you feel worthless.

Create A Thought Replacement Playlist

Your self-doubts are not your true self. Keep it in your mind and have a conversation with your thoughts. You might wonder how you can have a conversation with your thoughts. But remember, every feeling or thought is due to a reason, and you have to respond to it. Your reply matters beyond what you can think. It’s simple: reply instantly positively to every negative thought. If you don’t do it, this negativity will fill you internally.

Don’t believe what all your mind tells you. Stop believing it. Think very positively; think your self-doubts are positive signs. You can add more value to your life by working on these self-doubts. Replace every negative thought with a positive one. Think, you can do it instead of you can not do it. Make a positive affirmations. Believe in the power of the manifestation. Be conscious and aware of your thoughts. Believe me, you can change your whole life by changing how you think.

I messed up too much to start over — I accept it, and here is my recovery plan.

I am not good enough — I am as worthy as others.

I can’t do it — I can do whatever I put in my mind.

I am not strong enough — I am strong.

I am not beautiful — I am beautiful.

Nobody cares — I care myself.

Nobody likes me — I love me.

Know Your Why

When a doubt arises, consider why you want to do that. Your reason to do something must be greater than your inner doubts. These doubts are part of life; they will come repeatedly, but you must ignore them. Once you pay no attention, they will no longer disturb you.

When you doubt yourself, you start believing in it, which is a problem. You don’t have to accept it. Compete with it and know you have to fly high. How can you fight with others if you don’t know how to fight with yourself? Stick to your why, and remember it in every condition. Make a plan to achieve your goal or task instead of satisfying your self-doubts.

Start Keeping A Journal

Monitor yourself on a daily base. Notice what you feel and think, then write it. Write about yourself and how far you have come. Write honestly what doubts pushing you back. Find reasons for all of those thoughts. Then, navigate how you can compete with them. Write all your self-doubts and then find their solutions. If you have difficulty doing it, seek help from the others.

If you can process the thoughts, you can achieve what you want.

Write everything about you to navigate how you can overcome the fears.

I tried journaling; it’s a beautiful thing. You can think more clearly if you just write down your thoughts. But while writing, don’t miss any thoughts and feelings. It is psychologically approved that half of your negative thoughts go away if you just write down them and face them honestly.

Make A Start

Take a good start. Be confident and know you have the potential to do everything. Your self-doubts are your biggest challenges. Once you conquer these, you can conquer the world.

Have a belief in yourself. Stand in front of a mirror and say loudly, ‘I believe myself.’ I can do what I think I can do. Don’t compare yourself with others. You are the hero of your life. Create your own story. Don’t believe your weak self; don’t believe your inner critic voice. They are a liar.

Recharge yourself and take the first step. Don’t let your fear and doubts stop you. Crush them by taking your first action against them. You cannot do it if you are just thinking and waiting for a miracle. To push your barriers back, you have to take a start. Start your journey and conquer the world by strongly believing in yourself. You are amazing, and you can do it.

End Point

Overcoming self-doubt is a lifelong journey, not a one-time destination. Self-doubt can be persistent and powerful, but remember, you are not powerless. Recognizing negative thoughts, prioritizing reason over fear, and connecting with your authentic feelings can transform doubt into a springboard for growth. Your inner voice deserves to be one of encouragement. So, silence the critic, embrace your feelings, and move forward with courage and reason. The rewards will be worth it.
